胡志颖的艺术

胡志颖的艺术是一种探索和发现的旅程。
他80年代作品形成了他传统东方艺术的理解和阐释，通过娴熟流畅、包含传统画法的水墨画，探索表达对自然和孤独的崇敬。但作为一个有思想的艺术家，胡志颖开始探索西方文化，西方的图式隐含在他的作品中。胡志颖考察了咄咄逼人的西方文化的因素：生产和消费变成人类作为消费者自身价值被取代的过程。
胡志颖的最后系列作品，《世纪遗恨录》表达被遗弃和孤独所困扰的荒诞情境。在这里胡志颖探索的结论是：失控生产——往往是无用的消费品的生产，导致庞大的工厂被遗弃，迅速沦为荒芜的沙漠。一位富于思想的艺术家论现代文化的无常和真正价值的缺失。

The art of Hu Zhiying
The art of Hu Zhiying is a journey of process and discovery.
Form his work of the ‘80’s where he illustrates an understanding of traditional Eastern arts, where reverence of nature and solitude are explored through a masterful fluidity of traditional brush and ink painting. But as a thinking artist, Hu begins to explore the ephemera of Western Culture. Western motifs insinuate themselves into his work. Hu investigates the overbearing elements of Western Culture, where production and consumption become process of themselves replacing the value of the human consumer.
Hu’s latest series, Century Remorse are eerily haunting expressions of abandonment and solitude. Here Hu explores the result of runaway production, where mammoth factories for producing often useless consumer goods are abandoned, and quickly fall into deserts of disarray. A thinking artist, commenting on the impermanence of modern culture and the lack of true value.
